Two Former Condor A320s flown to Iran via Kazakhstan
Two former Condor Airbus A320 aircraft appear to be the latest additions to a fleet believed to be destined for Iran through an indirect transfer route.
Both aircraft are owned by Skysource FZ, a company based in the United Arab Emirates. The company has previously been linked to aircraft registered in Mozambique that were widely believed to have been transferred to Iran through intermediary countries.
The aircraft involved are:
- C9-ACE (construction number 894), formerly registered as 2-AICE and D-AICE with Condor. ICAO hex code: 0060AB.
- C9-ACF (construction number 905), formerly registered as 2-AICF and D-AICF with Condor.
On 2 August, C9-ACE departed Bacău International Airport in Romania (BCM) at approximately 19:00 UTC and arrived at Shymkent, Kazakhstan (CIT) at around 00:10 UTC on 3 August. On August 6 the aircraft flew to Turkmenbashi. After a short stop it flew to Tehran.
Meanwhile, C9-ACF appeared on Flightradar24 during the night of 2–3 August. However, due to apparent technical issues, the aircraft did not depart.
On August 3 C9-ACF departed Bacău to Shymkent. On August 6 the aircraft flew to Turkmenbashi. After a stop of around 1 hour it departed heading towards Baku. It then made a turn towards Iran and landed at Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport.
