Helicopter activity during Dutch Formula 1 2022
During 2,3 and 4 September 4 various helicopter were active related to the Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix at Zandvoort. This is an overview.
PH-OSF AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-175. Flew Sunday September 4 driver Max Verstappen and his group from the circuit to Schiphol East. After arrival the boarded his private jet.
PH-KGJ AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-120. Flew Sunday September 4 driver Michael Schumacher and his group from the circuit to Schiphol East.
PH-UNN AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-120 Flew Sunday September 4 Red Bull teamboss Helmut Marko from the circuit to Schiphol East. In a seperate flight driver Sergio Perez was flown from the circuit to Schiphol East.
PH-HHJ AEROSPATIALE AS-355 Ecureuil 2. Flew on September 2,3 and 4 several times between Amsterdam Heliport, Zandvoort and Schiphol East.
T7-LSS AGUSTA AW-13. Based in the UK. This helicopter flew Lawrence S. Stroll, owner of the Aston Martin F1 Team from the circuit to Schiphol East. Likely also his son Lance, driver of one of the cars.
PH-YIS AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-135/635. Flew Mercedes teamboss Toto Wolff from the circuit to Schiphol East on Sunday. Flew on September 1 and 2 for Red Bull from hotel Huis ter Duin to the circuit. (with Max Verstappen)
PH-WTG AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-135/635. Flew for Alpha Tauri (en probably Red Bull) drivers from hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk to the circuit on Sunday morning.
PH-AVW ROBINSON R-44 Raven. Flew likely spectators from Lelystad to Zandvoort on Saturday and Sunday.
PH-WRW AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-120. Did shuttle flights between Amsterdam Helipoort and the circuit on Sunday
PH-EUK AGUSTA AW-139 Did some shuttle flights between circuit and Schiphol East
PH-WRW AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-120. Flew from a field east of Apeldoorn on Saturday and Sunday to the circuit. Remained there during the races.
PH-RBC. AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-120. Did the same as PH-WRW.
PH-WTN AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-130 Flew on Sunday morning from Hilversum to circuit. Left after the race back to Hilversum.
PH-ITI AEROSPATIALE AS-350 Ecureuil. Flew on both Saturday and Sunday from Budel to Zandvoort. Remained there during the races.
OO-PAS AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-135/635 Came from Rotterdam airport to Zandvoort in the morning of September 4. Stayed during the race. Returned to Rotterdam.
PH-HOW AIRBUS HELICOPTERS EC-145.Ambulance helicopter. Arrived from Lelystad at Zandvoort at September 1. Stayed there till the end of the races at September 4. This is a reserve helicopter for the regular ambulance heli’s.
OO-HCZ AEROSPATIALE AS-355 Ecureuil 2. Not sure. could be for TV like standby in case PH-ULK has an issue and is not available.
PH-ULK AEROSPATIALE AS-355 Ecureuil 2. Flew at September 1,2,3 and 4 during races for TV-registration.
