Niets is minder waar.
Ik benaderde de persvoorlichting van de Europese Commissie en vroeg : In which article of the Noise Regulation is it clearly stated that both autonomous and additional fleet developments must be included in the package of measures?
Het antwoord dat ik kreeg was:
Article 5(3)(a) of Regulation 598/2014 (Balanced Approach Regulation) requires Member States to consider, among other, “the foreseeable effect of a reduction of aircraft noise at source” when taking noise-related measures. The use of quieter fleet is a measure falling within this category, which effects towards noise reduction must be taken into account in the balanced approach assessment. The Regulation does not distinguish between “autonomous” and additional fleet renewal for this purpose. Both lead to a reduction of the noise burden for the benefit of citizens.
