“New” IL-76 EX-76024 is operating for the United Nations in South Sudan
A previously unknown IL -76 with registration EX-76024 (hex 601164) is operating for the United Nations World Food Program in South Sudan. The aircraft is owned by a Kyrgyz company called MAK KG Airlines. The construction number is 1003402047 which makes this ex EW-78839 of Belarus TransAviaExport.
The aircraft was registered in the Kyrgyz register at August 8, 2024. The first track noted by Flightradar was at September 27, 2024 using a UN flightnumber. It flew from an unknown airport to Juba in South Sudan.
The aircraft is likely based at the airport of Wau in South Sudan. There is a United Nations base here. Photos taken in September 2024 at this airport show the IL-76 parked at the apron.
