Four Airbus A340 aircraft registered in Burkina Faso flown at the same time to sanctioned Iran
At December 23, 2022 four Airbus A340-300 aircraft were flown at the same time from Johannesburg to Iran. However the flightplan mentioned a destination in Uzbekistan. Once in Iranian airspace the aircraft flew to Tehran. All four aircraft were on December 23, the day of departure, registered in Burkina Faso. Before that the aircraft were registered in Guernsey (2-). Below the flightnumbers, the hexcode and the registrations. Of XT-AKA, XT-AKK and XT-ALM is not clear which hex they used.
The MAN airline code in the flightplan is not assigned to any airline. It might hint to the possible new owner of the four aircraft Mahan Air.
The previous owner is Avro Global based in Hong Kong. The only four aircraft owned by this company were the four A340s delivered to Iran. It could be Africa Charter Airline purchased these aircraft from Avro Global and then sold to a company in Iran.
