Airbus A320 delivered to unknown Iranian airline

An Airbus A320 was despite sanctions delivered to an yet unknown Iranian airline. A common trick was used. During the delivery flight the aircraft suddenly diverted to Tehran. The operator of the aircraft in the past did multiple transfers of aircraft to Iran.

Airbus A320 registered EY-314 had a flight plan departing Varna to Türkmenabat International Airport (CRZ) at February 13, 2024. However while flying over Turkmenistan the aircraft diverted to Tehran in Iran. The flight number was TXP314. TXP is used by the Tajik airline Asian Express Airline. This airline was many times used as a proxy to transfer aircraft to Iran.

Also the owner of the aircraft, leasing firm Sky One FZE based in UAE, in the past allowed aircraft to be transferred to sanctioned states. Airbus A320 EX-32012 flew Sharjah-Minsk 24/25 Jan 2024 using a fake airline, based in the UAE, named Queens Air. The aircraft then flew from Minsk to Damascus as YK-BAA of Cham Wings Airlines at 7 Feb 2024. Cham Wings uses its flights to engage in the transfer of Syrian mercenaries, arms trade, narcotics trafficking, and money laundering [..] benefiting from, and providing support to the Syrian regime (source)
