Victim of alleged chemical attack in Douma changes story after Assad has control over city

Two man living in Douma changed their stories told to the press about what happened in Douma at April 7. An alleged chemical attack took place. Video make soon after the attack show many bodies in an apartmentbuilding. On the balcony of the building a yellow cylinder was found. The same type of cylinder was used by Syrian armed forces many times using helicopters to drop the cylinders.

First survivor

The name of the first man who changed his story is not known.  I call him ‘man1’. Man1 appears in a video showing victims of the alleged chemical attack. The man seems to be semi-unconscious and fluid is dripping from his mouth.

The man was filmed in the local Douma hospital and is seen in  this video at 1:05. This picture is a screenshot.

A few days later journalists are transported by Syrian government from Damascus to Douma. The same man as seen in the hospital is interviewed by CBS. He tells CBS he could not breath because of gas which smelled of chlorine.

However, a few days later he tells a Russian TV reporter of TV Zveda that the attack in Douma was staged by rebels and that nothing happened and that no one (including him) was affected by the chemical attack.

Second survivor

A second survivor of the alleged chemical attack is Khaled Mahmoud Nuseir . He was interviewed by Associated Press AP reporter  Bassem Mroue at April 16. (Iran Press TV copied the interview). He stated there was indeed a chemical weapon attack involving a chlorine gas tank that killed many people but that this attack was done by the Islam rebels of  Jaish al-Islam. This man also said that White Helmets did not helped until the next day.

He also tells he fainted for almost 10 hours and when he woke up he ran to the hospital.

The reporter asked “What was the smell?”. Khaled Mahmoud Nuseir: “It was something yellow that approached us, like a yellow dust.”

However at the same day (April 16)  for German TV he tells a different story.  He states the smelled a strange smell. After a few minutes the smell was gone and after drinking a glass of water he felt better.

It is easy to see this is the same man as he wears the same shirt as his interview for AP.

We see Khaled Mahmoud Nuseir for a third time. This time on Russian RT which published a video at April 18. He is still wearing the same shirt, and the interview was likely done at April 16 as well.  He denied a chemical attack, saying “people poured water over our heads, repeating that we had been attacked with chemical weapons; somebody ran in from outside shouting that there had been a chemical attack”.
