Frosted cylinder is another indication chlorine was used in Douma alleged chemical attack
A video published at Facebook by Yasser al-Doumani, a journalist for the Syrian Commission for Media in Damascus, shows a frosted part of the yellow cylinder filled with deadly chlorine. The cylinder was extremely likely dropped by a Syrian air force helicopter.
The video was uploaded at Facebook at 3:32 local Damascus time. It is very graphic showing many dead bodies (link).
Investigators of OPCW visited the apartment building where the cylinder was found. This happened at April 21, 2 weeks after the alleged chemical attack. The results of the investigation will be ready end of May, early June.
This is an enhanced screenshot of the video. The white shows the frosted upper part of the cylinder where normally the valve is attached.
When a cylinder filled with chlorine is leaking or the valve is opened or removed, the outside of the cylinder will freeze at the level where the chlorine is. This is called auto-refrigeration and is explained in this video.
This investigation into a case where chlorine was leaked provides some information on the temperature of the cylinder.
